Fredrikstad Animation Festival Unveils 2025 Short Film Competition

Fredrikstad Animation Festival (FAF), the oldest and most esteemed animation festival in the Nordic region, has announced its 2025 Short Film Competition Programs. This year’s selection highlights an inspiring and diverse range of animated storytelling, with 69 films representing 25 countries across six distinct competition programs.

Across international, Nordic-Baltic, student films, young audience works and commissioned films, the selections span a wide spectrum of themes and techniques, from traditional hand-drawn animation to cutting-edge CGI, created by emerging artists and seasoned directors alike.
