Looney Tunes fans finally received some good news after HBO Max removed hundreds of the beloved shorts from its streaming library in March. Over 700 episodes of the evergreen classics can now be streamed for free on Tubi. The more recent, award-winning Looney Tunes Cartoons, Bugs Bunny Builders and Tiny Toons: Looniversity, however, can still be streamed on the WB Discovery service. The popular feature The Day the Earth Blew Up: A Looney Tunes Movie, which was rescued theatrically by Ketchup Entertainment, can also be viewed on HBO Max.
In addition, Tubi seems to be a wonderful destination for animation fans who like to dive in to some of best 2D animated shows and movies of the past few decades (with the exception of the big offerings from the studios such as Disney, DreamWorks and Illumination which already have homes on Disney+, Netflix and Prime Video. A quick glance at Tubi’s animated offerings menu proves the streamer an excellent way to catch movies such as Ferngully: The Last Rainforest, All Dogs Go to Heaven, A Cat in Paris, The Secret of NIMH, When the Wind Blows, The Missing Link and The Last Unicorn and TV shows/short compilations such as Popeye the Sailor, The Magic School Bus, The Flintstones Mr. Bean, Betty Boop, Garfield and Friends, Fleischer’s Superman, Casper the Friendly Ghost, Little Lulu, Woody Woodpecker and Friends, The Pink Panther, The Sylvester and Tweety Mysteries and Tom and Jerry: The Chuck Jones Collection.
