‘Ne Zha 2’ Gets Official IMAX Trailer for U.S. Early Access Release

Film fans and animation lovers will have a fresh chance to experience the epic mythological world of Ne Zha 2 this month when IMAX theaters kick off early access screenings August 18. A new trailer for this premium format release has just dropped.

Synopsis: A rebellious young boy, Ne Zha, is feared by the gods and born to mortal parents with wild, uncontrolled powers. Now he’s faced with an ancient force intent on destroying humanity, he must grow up to become the hero the world needs.

The English-language dub features the voices of Oscar winner Michelle Yeoh (Everything Everywhere All at Once), Crystal Lee (Genshin Impact), Vincent Rodriguez III (Crazy Ex Girlfriend) and Aleks Le (Solo Leveling). The film is directed and written by Jiaozi (Yang Yu), produced by Wang Jing and Liu Wenzhang.

Ne Zha 2 was an enormous box office success in China and abroad, grossing $2.2 billion to become the first animated film to surpass $2 billion and the top-grossing animated feature of all time.

A24 and CMC Pictures will release Ne Zha 2  in theaters across the U.S., Canada, Australia and New Zealand starting August 22.
