New ‘Long Story Short’ Clip Finds the Schwoopers at War Over Game Night

Netflix today unveiled a sneak peek preview of Long Story Short, the new adult animated comedy from BoJack Horseman creator Raphael Bob-Waksberg. The 10 x 30′ series premieres August 22, and has already been renewed for a second season.

The series centers on one family, tracing their stories through different periods of their lives. In the new clip, the young family gathers ’round for a very contentious game night many viewers could relate to.

Synopsis: Long Story Short is an animated comedy from the creator of BoJack Horseman about one family, over time. Jumping through the years, we follow the Schwooper siblings from childhood to adulthood and back again, chronicling their triumphs, disappointments, joys, and compromises.

The voice cast features Lisa Edelstein as Naomi Schwartz, Paul Reiser as Elliott Cooper, Ben Feldman as Avi Schwooper, Abbi Jacobson as Shira Schwooper, Max Greenfield as Yoshi Schwooper, Angelique Cabral as Jen and Nicole Byer as Kendra Hooper. Dave Franco and Michaela Dietz are recurring guests as Danny Webgreit and Hannah Schwooper, respectively.

Bob-Waksberg is creator, showrunner, writer and executive producer. Noel Bright and Steven A. Cohen are exec producers, with Lisa Hanawalt (Tuca & Bertie, BoJack Horseman) as supervising producer and Primetime Emmy winner Jack Shih (South Park, Clone High) as supervising director.

Long Story Short is produced by Tornante Television and animated by ShadowMachine (co-exec producers Corey Campodonico and Alex Bulkley).
