Pixelatl Unveils Its Signal Film Song of Inspiration by Rudo Company

From September 9-13, the Pixelatl Festival (elfestival.mx) will once again coalesce creative energy from the worlds of animation, video games and comics in Guadalajara, Mexico, welcoming artists, enthusiasts and professionals from across Latin and South America and around the world. Today, the festival organizers revealed the official cineminuto, or signal film/trailer, for the 2025 festival.

This year’s signal film is produced by Buenos Aires-based studio Rudo Company, known for its work on music videos like Siamés’ viral hit “The Wolf” and currently working on an original co-production with Sacrebleu and Take Five title Esther. Each year, Pixelatl partners with a Latin American studio to showcase the region’s creativity and technical prowess.  The result is a pastel-tinged 2D piece that explores the intersection of magic and reality in creative expression, evoked by Pixelatl’s 2025 theme: Enchant the World.

“The Pixelatl team presented us with a concept and manifesto that are truly inspiring, and they gave us complete creative freedom. We’re very grateful for that because it’s exactly the kind of challenge we love to take on,” Rudo Co. co-founder Pablo Rafael Roldán told Animation Magazine in an interview earlier this year.

“As for the cineminuto itself, we’re envisioning it as a journey into collective imagination —  a kind of abstract celebration of creativity. We also want to experiment with the production process, incorporating sequences where our team can explore different ways of telling this creative journey. While creativity is often personal, when shared as a group, it can lead to something truly extraordinary. We believe the production process itself will be an integral part of the final piece.”

Encanta el mundo: The word “enchant” refers to a spell or enchantment: using magical powers to attract people’s will. It also means capturing someone’s attention through personal charisma, beauty, charm or talent. To enchant is to enthrall, seduce or provoke fascination. But in its etymological origin, from the Latin incantāre, the word literally referred to the inner song that something provokes in you: that wonder you feel in your spirit when you stand before something you admire, that captivates you, or that captivates you.

Today, as we live in environments of disillusionment and sadness, we want you to help us enchant the world again. Perhaps you already do so without knowing it: when you are moved by someone’s need, when you give without expecting a return. If you are so enthusiastic that you spread or teach what you have learned. And if you share your stories and your art, then don’t hesitate, you are already on this journey.

For this is the secret of that magic: By sharing, we rebuild who we are. Together, we inspire hope. Therefore, enchant the world: fill it with soul.
