There’s no stopping Matt Stone and Trey Parker as they continue to boldly ridicule President Trump and his administration in the new season of South Park. Wednesday’s episode saw the popular animated show add Secretary of Homeland Secretary Kristi Noem and Vice President JD Vance to its growing list of controversial political figures depicted as laughing stocks.
Season 27’s second episode, “Got a Nut,” found school counselor Mr. Mackey losing his job and joining ICE to make ends meet. In the ICE recruiting video shows Noem introduces herself and says “A few years ago, I had to put my puppy down by shooting it in the face, because sometimes doing what’s important means doing what’s hard,” she says and the video shows her jumping out of an ICE vehicle and gunning down an innocent puppy. “Now, we’ll ask the same determination of you. Because detaining and questioning people is never easy,” she adds.
Mackey and Noem then joins a raid on a local production of Dora the Explorer Live! and cause the audience to panic. Noem proceeds to shoot a service dog in the crowd. The show then goes to Mar-a-Lago where we see Trump and JD Vance as Mr. Roarke and Tatoo from Fantasy Island. Trump makes Macky the new head of Homeland Security and ask him to join in a threesome with him and Satan. Vance offers to lend a hand: “Would you like me to apply the baby oil to Satan’s asshole, boss?” When Superman’s best friend, Krpto, shows up to save Mackey from the stomach-churning threesome, Noem (who is nicknamed ICE Barbie and Cosplay Kristi due to her many camera-ready appearances) shoots Superman’s dog and loses her allegedly surgically improved face.

Meanwhile, back in the real world — which has become indistinguishable from a cartoon satire — Vance posted on X, “Well, I’ve finally made it.” ICE also responded to the episode even before the show air. The X account of the department used a promotional image from the episode to promote ICE’s recruitment website. South Park responded quickly, “Wait, so we ARE relevant? #eatabagofdicks.” This was in response to the White House commenting earlier that South Park hadn’t been relevant for 20 years.
Last week’s Season 27 premiere, titled “Sermon on the ‘Mount,” attracted 5.9 million viewers across Comedy Central and Paramount+ in its initial three-day release. This marks the biggest linear season premiere for South Park since 1999. The episode had a 0.996 rating in the adults 18-49 demographic, representing a 15% increase compared to the Season 26 premiere. It was also the #1 telecast across all of cable on the Wednesday it premiered.. The premiere’s viewership demonstrated a significant increase, with a 68% jump in linear season premiere share compared to Season 26.
