Remow Co., Ltd. has revealed the new trailer for the upcoming anime series With You, Our Love Will Make It Through (a.k.a. Kimikoe), based on the popular shoujo manga by Chihiro Yuzuki (serialized on the Manga Mee app, published by Shueisha). It was also announced that the show will launch on multiple networks in Japan this October. Global streaming platforms will be confirmed at a later date.
The trailer highlights the cross-species encounter between the human protagonist, Mari Asaka (voiced by Manaka Iwami), and the beastfolk boy Tsunagu Hidaka (Takuya Eguchi). It also teases classmate Yukihiro Aida’s (Kotaro Nishiyama) secret crush, while offering a glimpse into the bittersweet high school romance that will unfold.
The new preview reveals that Ai Kakuma will be voicing Kisara. Additionally, it has been confirmed that the opening theme song will be “Kusuguttai.” performed by CHiCO with HoneyWorks.
“Mari is a human who imagines how others feel and turns those thoughts into action. Tsunagu, a beastfolk, sometimes chooses not to act for the sake of others. Though they come from different worlds, both of them are kind-hearted and care deeply for those they cherish. I hope you’ll enjoy seeing how Kisara will be involved with these two as the story unfolds,” Kakuma commented in the announcement. “By the way, Kisara is a feline-type beastfolk. I’m really looking forward to seeing her tail move in the animation…”
Synopsis: In the year 20XX, beastfolk are a small part of human society. An exceptional student, Tsunagu, a beastfolk, joins the class of Mari, a human high schooler who lives in a town where beastfolk and humans coexist. Although she is confused by her first contact with a beastfolk, as they spend time together as classmates, she finds herself drawn to the kind and pure Tsunagu. Tsunagu is also captivated by the “sweet smell” that Mari exudes, and is fascinated by her beauty and strength. But in this world, where the beastfolk are separated behind a wall, the mere act of being close to a human is met with curiosity … not to mention falling in love. A human and a beastfolk — what will happen to their love that transcends their races?
The series is directed by Shin Itagaki (also in charge of series composition and script) and Hiromi Kimura (also character designer), with Millepensee as the animation production studio. The creative team also includes art director Masakazu Miyake, color designer Miyuki Kibata and composer Akiyoshi Yasuda.
