This Friday, September 5, Adult Swim SMALLS will premiere a new workplace comedy series, Floor 999, from animator and director Kissing Party (Alan Moutal).
These new shorts follow Tony, a tenant who gets a big promotion, and his journey navigating a building with 1000 floors.
Floor 999 will also be screened at the monthly Silver Lake Shorts screening event on the same day, September 5, at El Cid in Los Angeles (silverlakeshorts.com).
Moutal is an animator and director based in Los Angeles who has previously collaborated with Adult Swim. He likes to draw ‘ugly characters with single toe feet, because drawing actual feet is hard.’
The rollout schedule for Floor 999 is:
Sept. 5 – “The Big Promotion”
Tony gets a big promotion, which sounds really cool until he realizes no one respects him and the job might kill him.
Sept. 12 – “The Big Delivery”
Misha tasks Tony with delivering some packages to some tenants, but not just any packages and not just ANY tenants.
Sept. 19 – “The Big Lever”
Tony is determined to pull this huge lever, nothing can stop him, not even a cyclops, two mosquitos, or whatever the hell is on floor 808.
Adult Swim SMALLS features short form animated releases by up-and-coming creators from around the world. New shorts are released weekly on Adult Swim’s YouTube.
