Heroic Signatures, the entertainment studio which holds the IP to fantasy classic Conan the Barbarian, today premiered a new stop-motion video in collaboration with award-winning filmmaker, animator and life-long Conan fan Justin Rasch (Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio, ParaNorman, Kubo and the Two Strings) to launch pre-orders of their new limited-edition, handcrafted Conan the Barbarian Battle of the Black Stone action figure.
The new Conan the Barbarian figure is based on Rob De La Torre’s artwork from the Battle of the Black Stone comic arc, written by Jim Zub, and features premium articulation for dynamic, realistic posing, along with multiple heads, hands, armor and weapons. The stop-motion spot created by Rasch features the new Conan figure in battle with a Lovecraftian Cthulhu and showcases the figure’s advanced articulation, lifelike detail and fierce weaponry in action.
The Standard Edition of the figure will retail for $65 USD. For fans looking to go even further, the Deluxe Edition will be $75 USD and adds legendary Robert E. Howard character weapons, like Solomon Kane’s staff and Brissa’s spear, housed in exclusive collector’s packaging. Full details for each edition can be found below. This release is the first figure produced independently, in-house by Heroic Signatures and marks the beginning of an ambitious new line of figures from the studio that will bring Conan and the greater Robert E. Howard universe into fans’ hands like never before.
