‘Adventure Time: Fionna and Cake’ Season 2 Official Trailer Debuts at NYCC

HBO Max and Cartoon Network Studios released the official trailer for the second season of the Max Original animated series Adventure Time: Fionna and Cake during a panel at New York Comic Con. The 10-episode season debuts Thursday, October 23 on HBO Max, followed by one new episode weekly through December 25.

Logline: After their journey through the multiverse, Fionna and Cake tackle new adventures while Huntress Wizard embarks on a desperate quest with fatal consequences.

The voice cast is led by Madeleine Martin as Fionna Campbell, Roz Ryan as Cake the Cat and Ashly Burch, with recurring guest cast Anna Akana, Dee Bradley Baker, Maria Bamford, Matthew Broderick, Kris Collins, Frank Collison, Andy Daly, Grey DeLisle, Harvey Guillén, Patti Harrison, Manny Jacinto, Tom Kenny, Marc Maron, Jinkx Monsoon, Kumail Nanjiani, Olivia Olson, Vico Ortiz, Chelsea Peretti, Jeremy Shada, Hynden Walch and Pendleton Ward, among others.

Based on the multiple Primetime Emmy Award-winning Cartoon Network series Adventure Time created by Pendleton Ward and the popular “gender swapped” characters created by Natasha Allegri (Bee and PuppyCat), Adventure Time: Fionna and Cake is helmed by franchise veteran Adam Muto as showrunner and executive producer. Fred Seibert and Sam Register are also executive producers. The series is produced in partnership with Cartoon Network Studios.

Season 1 premiered in 2023, and received nominations from the Annie Awards and GLAAD Media Awards, as well as a a juried Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Individual Achievement in Animation (Alex Small-Butera, character animation).
