Just Announced: ‘Bob’s Burgers’ Star Kristen Schaal to Receive Hall of Fame Award at November’s World Animation Summit in L.A.

“It’s Louise, as in, ‘Jeez Louise, You’re the best!'”

Well, actually, it’s the Annie Award-winning voice actor behind Bob’s Burgers‘ irrepressible Louise Belcher, Kristen Schaal — the latest animation icon to be named a recipient of the World Animation Summit‘s 2025 Hall of Fame Awards! Just announced today, Schaal will join a stellar lineup of toon luminaries to be celebrated at the awards gala on November 17, hosted by Looney Tunes voice star Eric Bauza.

As an actress, voice artist, writer and comedian, Schaal has established herself as one of the most versatile and sought-after comedic talents in television and film. She can be seen starring in the Emmy-nominated FX series What We Do in the Shadows, as well as in FOX’s animated hit Bob’s Burgers. She has previously starred in the hit Disney+ series The Mysterious Benedict Society and FOX’s The Last Man on Earth.

Schaal’s many film credits include Bill and Ted Face the Music, opposite Keanu Reeves and Alex Winter; Prime Video/STX’s My Spy and My Spy: The Eternal City, opposite Dave Bautista, and as the voice of Trixie in Toy Story 4.

In addition to Bob’s Burgers, Schaal has brought to life a range of characters for animated series and features. Her starring role as Mabel Pines in Disney Channel’s Gravity Falls earned an Annie Award and three Behind the Voice Actors Awards, with additional TV/streaming credits including recurring roles on Netflix’s Big Mouth and BoJack Horseman (for which she was nominated for a Primetime Emmy), Cartoon Network’s Adventure Time and FX’s Archer. On top of Disney-Pixar’s Toy Story franchise, Schaal can also be heard in the animated features Thelma the Unicorn, Captain Underpants, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2, Shrek Forever After and, of course, The Bob’s Burgers Movie.

Schaal will be celebrated alongside previously announced Hall of Fame Award honorees Loren Bouchard (creator of Bob’s Burgers), Maggie Kang & Chris Appelhans (directors of Kpop Demon Hunters), Juan Jose Meza-León (director of Aztec Batman: Clash of Empires), Tim Miller (creator/EP of Love, Death + Robots), animation creative executive Linda Simensky (PBS Kids), Matt Stone & Trey Parker (creators of South Park), Alex Woo (director of In Your Dreams), Studio 100 International and beloved animation publicist Fumi Kitahara (posthumous).

The 2025 World Animation Summit will take place over three days at historic North Hollywood hotel The Garland, offering an expansive overview of the art, industry and technology of animation today through star-studded panels, keynotes and networking opportunities.
