Netflix Debuts Trailer for ‘Dr. Seuss’s The Sneetches’

This morning is off to a whimsical start as Netflix releases the trailer for Dr. Seuss’s The Sneetches, a new 45-minute, CG-animated special inspired by the works of Theodore Geisel (a.k.a. Dr. Seuss). The new title will drop November 3, and follows this week’s launch of Dr. Seuss’s Horton!, streaming now (first episode available on the Netflix Jr. YouTube channel), and the previously released Dr. Seuss’s Red Fish, Blue Fish.

Logline: Once upon a time, there were Star-Belly Sneetches and Moon-Belly Sneetches who lived together on the beach, until one day they decided they were too different to live together. So they went their separate ways. But then Stella, a Star-Belly Sneetch, met Pearl, a Moon-Belly Sneetch, and they realized Sneetches are Sneetches, and no one kind of Sneetch is the best on the beaches.

Developed by and overseen by executive producer/showrunner Dustin Ferrer, the The Sneetches features the voices of Amari McCoy (Stella), Sophie Petersen (Pearl) and Christopher Fitzgerald (Pelican). Bronagh O’Hanlon (Lu & the Bally Bunch, Karma’s World) is the special’s director, with original songs by Rob Cantor and animation by Brown Bag Films.
