U.K.’s popular children’s channel CBeebies unveiled a mix of new animated shows from BBC Children’s and Education today. Among the new offerings are:
MaeBee. The first is an animated preschool titled MaeBee, a 52 x 7-minute show created by Karrot Entertainment by Tim and Becca O’Sullivan. The show brings tales of community, nature and self-growth following the small but mighty adventures of Mae, a determined young gnome with big dreams, and her quirky foster twin Bee, who may or may not realize he’s actually a bee. The charming show is set to premiere in the spring/summer of 2026.
The UnderGlow. This 50 x 7 new series produced in partnership with Gigglebug, YLE and A Productions celebrates creativity and imagination. The show takes young audiences into a whimsical woodland world where curiosity, creativity and play reign supreme. Led by the bold and inquisitive Riley and her thoughtful best friend Brewster, this diverse gang of quirky characters, including a floating fish and a talking potato, explore, invent, and uncover mysteries in a cozy, oddball setting far from the human world. The show will premiere in the fall of 2027. The show is created by Tanya Scott and Sam Morrison.
Luna in Dreamland. This new animated series produced by Flickerpix and Copa Studios in both English and Gaeilge, consists of 26 x 7’ episodes and launches on BBC iPlayer in 2027. The show follows the adventures of a girl spirit who enters children’s dreams to help them overcome their fears and anxieties and talk about their fears.
Mojo SwopTops. With a swop of a top, Mojo transforms into whatever the job needs; fire truck, helicopter, crane, you name it, while Bo brings the brains, tools, and boundless creativity. Whether rescuing pigs from trees or solving everyday mishaps, this dynamic duo tackles challenges with laughter, and a never-give-up attitude. Based on the popular Ladybird book series by Cindy Black and Rich Ward, the second season returns for 52 x 11’ brand-new episodes airing October/November 2026.
Talking Tom Heroes: Suddenly Super. Teaching young viewers about good overcoming bad, Tom and his super friends have brand new superpowers to figure out and a mission to save the day, they’ve got their work cut out for them. They’re excited to protect the city and stop the bad guys, but they soon discover that being super is harder than it looks. But they won’t give up. They’ll jump into action and do their best. They’re superheroes, after all! Created by Outfit 7, the company that owns the Talking Tom & Friends franchise, the show was produced in partnership with Epic Story Media and ReDefine Originals. The new show is slated for Oct. 2025.
