‘The Pout-Pout Fish’ Ready to Make a Splash with New Viva Kids Trailer

Viva Kids has debuted the fin-flipping official trailer for The Pout-Pout Fish, coming to theaters nationwide through on March 20, 2026. Based on the New York Times Bestseller book series written by Deborah Diesen and illustrated by Dan Hanna, the new family animated feature dives into a fun-filled adventure that explores friendship, courage and the joy of spreading happiness for audiences of all ages.

The film’s star-studded voice cast includes Emmy winner Nick Offerman (Parks and Recreation), Nina Oyama (Deadloch), SAG Award winner Miranda Otto (The Lord of the Rings) and Remy Hii (Marco Polo), with Grammy nominee Jordin Sparks and Emmy nominee Amy Sedaris (Strangers with Candy).

Synopsis: The Pout-Pout Fish is the hilarious and heartwarming story of an unlikely duo: Mr. Fish (Offerman) a pouty introvert and Pip (Oyama) an energetic sea dragon, who embark on a daunting quest to find a legendary fish to grant their wish to save their homes.

The Pout-Pout Fish is directed by Ricard Cussó (Scarygirl, Combat Wombat) and Rio Harrington and written by Elise Allen, Elie Choufany and Dominic Morris.
