From November 17-19, the 2025 World Animation Summit presented by Animation Magazine will bring creators, artists, executives and innovators from across the globe together for its annual celebration of the art, business and technology of animation. Returning this year to historic hotel The Garland in North Hollywood, California, the event will open with an awards gala for this year’s special honorees on Monday, Nov. 17.
As the countdown to opening night ticks on, Animation Magazine has announced the first raft of Hall of Fame Award winners:
- Loren Bouchard — Creator, Bob’s Burgers
- Maggie Kang & Chris Appelhans — Directors, KPop Demon Hunters — Movie of the Year Award
- Fumi Kitahara — Animation Publicity Executive (posthumous)
- Juan Jose Meza-León — Director, Aztec Batman: Clash of Empires — New Vision Award
- Tim Miller — Creator/Exec Producer; Love, Death + Robots, Secret Level
- Linda Simensky — Animation Creative Executive; Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon, PBS Kids
- Matt Stone & Trey Parker — Creators, South Park
- Studio 100 International — International Studio of the Year Award
- Alex Woo — Director, In Your Dreams — New Vision Award

The World Animation Summit also announced it is thrilled to welcome back Emmy-winning voice actor Eric Bauza to host the 2025 Awards Gala. Bauza is the widely recognized performer behind iconic Looney Tunes characters including Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, and many other animated stars.
