‘A Chuck E. Cheese Christmas’ Warms Up for Holiday Release with Two New Music Videos

The music videos for two new original Christmas songs have been released from the upcoming holiday special A Chuck E. Cheese Christmas.  The songs will be available on all streaming platforms beginning November 24, the music videos are available now on the official Chuck E. Cheese YouTube channel.

The videos feature festive performances by Chuck E. Cheese and friends to the tunes “What Would We Do Without Christmas?” and “Robot Banana Christmas,” both co-written by Jon Colton Barry, Zac Moncrief, composer Ben Bromfield (Ginny & Georgia), and co-creator Jon Colton Barry’s father, hitmaker Jeff Barry — known for “I’m A Believer,” “Sugar, Sugar” and “Christmas (Baby Please Come Home).”

“I always have a great time collaborating on creative work with my son, Jon Colton Barry. We had so much fun writing a new Christmas classic, ‘What Would We Do Without Christmas?’ for the fabulous Chuck E. Cheese Christmas special he and Zac have created,” said Jeff Barry. “I wrote one of the last, so-called ‘classic’ Christmas songs, ‘Christmas (Baby Please Come Home),’ which most people know from Mariah Carey’s show-stopping cover. “WWWDWC?” has that same, heartfelt, magical Christmas feel, but with a very modern record-making approach that should appeal to all ages — just like the special itself.

“For me, the essential thing with songs for soundtracks is supporting the emotional storytelling in the scene. Characters breaking into a great pop song in the middle of a show is fine, but if you use that real estate for a great pop song that also moves the story forward and explores the characters and themes, you’ve really got something valuable. We wanted to capture the special’s classic, traditional holiday tone, mixed with all the modern, irreverent humor and mischief that’s cooked into its DNA. I think we nailed it.

“Ben and James did a great job with the track. It’s important that the song can stand on its own outside the context of the special, as well. ‘What Would We Do Without Christmas?’ should be on everybody’s holiday playlist this year — and, hopefully, for years to come.”

A Chuck E. Cheese Christmas Synopsis: You’re invited to an unforgettable surprise celebration for someone truly special! Join Chuck E. Cheese and his friends for a magical Christmas adventure filled with music, laughter, and holiday cheer. Alongside his pals Helen Henny, Jasper Jowls, Bella Brinca, Munch, and Pasqually, Chuck E. creates a plan to throw a surprise party to lift Santa’s Christmas spirit! But surprising the man who “sees you when you’re sleeping and knows when you’re awake” won’t be easy. Can the gang pull it off in time to save Christmas?

Written and executive produced by Zac Moncrief and Jon Colton Barry (Phineas and Ferb, Be Cool Scooby-Doo!), A Chuck E. Cheese Christmas features a voice cast that includes Nathan Kress (iCarly) as Chuck E. Cheese, with Grey DeLisle (Avatar: The Last Airbender), Nolan North (Uncharted), Kari Wahlgren (Rick and Morty), Fred Tatasciore (Kung Fu Panda 2) and Michael Gough (Doc McStuffins).
