A new furry family of urban animals is ready to charm buyers at AFM in Los Angeles next week (November 11-16). French co-producer/sales agency/distributor mk2 films (Allah Is Not Obliged; Calamity, a Childhood of Martha Jane Cannary) has boarded the European animated feature Outfoxed!, with plans to share first-look sequences at the market.
The 3D CG tale follows a family of urban foxes as they travel to the Irish countryside, and find themselves on the run from a local nobleman with the help of oddball animals they meet along the way.
Outfoxed! is a family-friendly comedy adventure produced by Monster Entertainment in Ireland (producer of I’m a Monster and Rocka-Bye Island and distributor of Fia’s Fairies and Earth to Luna), Walking the Dog in Belgium (The Secret of Kells, A Magnificent Life) and Doghouse Films in Luxembourg (Nina and the Secret of the Hedgehog, Fox and Hare Save the Forest). International sales are handled by mk2 films.
Synopsis: Frankie is the slightly overweight head of a family of foxes who live in the city. Fiona is his resourceful partner: bouncy, inquisitive. Finn is their cub. They’re set up in a comfortable garden shed in the suburbs: there’s a steady supply of hamburgers and chips in the bins behind the cafes. Life is easy for the little family. So, when, one autumn day, young Finn puts on his cutest face and says he’d like to visit the place where Len was born — just to see what it’s like, Dad! — he agrees. After all, it’s just a day out in the country. What could possibly go wrong?

The all-Irish cast includes with Jamie Beamish (Will, Bridgerton), Dylan Bowe (The Spectral Hour) and Aileen Mythen (Lu & the Bally Bunch) as the family of foxes. U2 front man Bono voices Plato, the leader of the nobleman’s pack of hounds.
Outfoxed! is directed by Paul Bolger (Happily N’Ever After) from a screenplay by Barry Devlin (My Mother and Other Strangers), who has collaborated on music video and TV movie projects for U2.
