‘Murder Drones’ Comics Set to Launch with Oni After Smashing Kickstarter Campaign

Multiple Eisner and Harvey Award-winning publisher Oni Press and independent animation studio Glitch Productions have revealed a first look inside the upcoming release of Murder Drones #1, the first issue of the brand-new, six-part adaptation of the global smash-hit animated series created by Liam Vickers. After racking up more than 330 million views on YouTube and subsequently making its streaming debut on Prime Video, Murder Drones is heading to comic shops worldwide with a new limited series from writer Wyatt Kennedy (Nights, Wiccan: Witches’ Road) and artist Jo Mi-Gyeong (Eve, Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance).

Adapting all eight episodes of the cult-favorite animated series, Murder Drones’ official comic spin-off is already a groundbreaking phenomenon in its own right after earning $1.75 million on Kickstarter to become the #4 highest grossing comics Kickstarter of all time and becoming one of the few campaigns to shatter the crowdfunding record long-held by BOOM! Studios’ BRZRKR. Now, comic shops and direct market retailers will have the first chance to introduce the story to comic readers before any one else when Murder Drones #1 arrives on shelves on February 25th, 2026.
