‘The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants’ Official Trailer Sets Sail!

Paramount Animation and Nickelodeon Movies are ready to reel family audiences back into theaters for The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants, the latest big screen adventure from Bikini Bottom. The official trailer launched today, introducing Ice Spice in her first voice acting role, as well as her new original track “Big Guy.”

Synopsis: SpongeBob and his Bikini Bottom friends set sail in their biggest, all-new, can’t miss cinematic event ever … The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants. Desperate to be a big guy, SpongeBob sets out to prove his bravery to Mr. Krabs by following The Flying Dutchman — a mysterious swashbuckling ghost pirate — on a seafaring comedy-adventure that takes him to the deepest depths of the deep sea, where no Sponge has gone before.

Ice Spice (Isis Gaston), George Lopez, Arturo Castro, Sherry Cola, Regina Hall and Mark Hamill make up the voice cast alongside franchise stars Tom Kenny, Clancy Brown, Rodger Bumpass, Bill Fagerbakke, Carolyn Lawrence and Mr. Lawrence.

Based on the SpongeBob SquarePants series created by Stephen Hillenburg, The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants is directed by Derek Drymon from a screenplay by Pam Brady and Matt Lieberman, story by Marc Ceccarelli & Kaz and Pam Brady.
