With Ratatouille set to debut next weekend, Disney and Pixar have released a teaser for their upcoming animated robot feature Wall’E on the Apple Trailers site. Slated for a summer 2008 release, the toon is being directed by Finding Nemo helmer Andrew Stanton, who offers a brief introduction to the project and how it came about in the video piece.

WALL’E revolves around a young industrial robot searching for a home in outer space and a greater purpose for his existence. Currently slated to hit theaters in June of 2008, the pic is being produced by former Lucasfilm Digital president Jim Morris, who joined the Pixar team in 2005.
