Kidtoons, a program that screens G-rated movies and shorts for children at select theaters, has agreed to add NCircle Entertainment’s animated series for preschoolers, Pocoyo, to its program beginning in September.
NCircle is promoting the screenings with 800,000 fliers inserted into DVD releases of Pocoyo. The CG-animated series follows a fun-loving little boy who explores each day with his friends. Co-produced by Spain’s Zinkia and Granada in the U.K., the Annecy award-winning toon is being broadcast in more than 100 territories.
Among the theaters participating in Kidtoons are Abingdon Cinemall, Allen, Atlas, Emagine, Marquee, Neighborhood, AccessIT’s Pavilion Theatre, National Amusements, Rave Motion Pictures, Republic Theatre Group, Showplace and UltraStar.
