After trying his hand at 20th century history with the ho-hum Valkyrie, director Bryan Singer is returning to his sci-fi roots with an upcoming feature adaptation of the popular TV series Battlestar Galactica. Glen Larson is set to produce the Universal project, which Variety says will be a ‘complete re-imagination’ of the series.
The original version of Battlestar ran on ABC for two seasons beginning in 1978. Singer was slated to direct the pilot of the hugely successful Sci Fci Channel reboot which ran from 2004-2009.
