Mandy Moore is going to let her hair down for Disney.
The actress has been cast as the lead role in the studio’s upcoming 3D animated feature film adaptation of Rapunzel, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Also providing a voice is Chuck star Zachery Levi, who will play a bandit on the road with Rapunzel.
Byron Howard and Nathan Greno will direct the musical film, while Alan Menken provides the tunes.
The movie is scheduled for a holiday 2010 release.
