Fox has bought the North American distribution rights to The Dolphin: Story of a Dreamer, a Peruvian CGI-animated feature film.
The film was released in Peru in October and set a record for the biggest opening weekend ever for a local film, reports Variety.
Fox also released the movie in Latin America and Brazil; Celluloid Dreams is handling the rest of the world.
The film, produced by Dolphin Films with Password, Italy and DDG, Germany, is directed by Eduardo Schuldt and produced by Sergio Bambaren. It is adapted from a 1996 book written by Bambaren that has sold more than 15 million copies in 40 languages.
