Warner Pops for 3-D in Potter Finale

The final, two-part installment in the Harry Potter movie series will be released in 3-D, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Warner Bros. has yet to make official its decision to release Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part I and Part II in 3-D, but an announcement is expected soon.

The studio also is planning a 3-D release for its upcoming remake of Clash of the Titans.

According to the trade, the improved technology and reduced cost in converting 2D films to 3-D presentations were key to the decision.

Titans is set to roll out April 2, with Deathly Hallows Part I due out Nov. 19 and followed by Part II on July 15, 2011.
