Classic fairy tale Hansel & Gretel is getting the 3D feature film treatment from Michael Bay’s The Institute.
A report on ComingSoon.net says the film will be an effects-heavy take on the classic tale and that Avatar lead character designer Joseph C. Pepe will handle the same duties on this film.
Co-producing with The Institute is Kalliope Films. Scott Gardenhour and Kira Madallo Sesay are the producers on the film, which will shoot in Germany and is planned for release in the spring.
