Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA) has debuted its online PlayStation Store for North America, enabling PSP users to access PlayStationNetwork games, video content and services over the Internet through a personal computer. Available immediately, the service offers exclusive downloadable games including Syphon Filter: Combat Ops, as well as existing PSP titles such as Gangs of London and WipEout Pure, and PlayStation One classics including JetMoto and Crash Bandicoot.
Among other content offerings in the he PlayStation Store are trailers and demos for upcoming titles, add-on game items, promotional videos and accessories that allow users to customize their PSP menu colors, backgrounds and icons. Some downloads are free, while others will be paid for through what Sony calls a ‘seamless online commerce experience.’
In addition to opening up PlayStation Network Accounts to PSP owners, the PC store allows users who already use a PlayStation Network account with their PlayStation 3 units can use their existing usernames and passwords to log in on their personal computers.
