PipelineFX Debuts Qube! for Maya ’08

PipelineFX, makers of the Qube! render farm management software, today announced that it has released support for Autodesk’s Maya version 2008. Qube! jives with Maya via an updated ‘jobtype’ and ships with an array of custom jobtypes for various 2D and 3D applications, including 3ds Max.

Qube! now supports Maya 2008 line submission tool and features a backend execution module specifically developed to interface directly with the application. The custom jobtypes are designed to make job submission simple and easy for artists. They also reduce the time involved in integrating internal production pipelines with Qube! by including ready-made interfaces and execution backends.

PipelineFX created Qube! to be highly customizable, extensively scalable and easily integrated into any production workflow. Backed by extensive technical support, the software has custom pipelines for creative applications including 3ds Max, Maya, NUKE, SOFTIMAGE|XSI, Shake, Adobe AfterEffects, Pixar’s RenderMan. and Eyeon Digital Fusion. Qube! is IBM ServerProven, database driven and operates in Linux, Windows and Mac OSX environments. Companies using Qube! include South Park Studios, Electronic Arts, Vanguard Animation, Rainmaker Animation, Disney Interactive Studios, Starz Ent., Reel FX and Attitude Studio.

Released on Sept. 17 by Autodesk’s Media and Entertainment division, Maya 2008 focuses on providing improved workflow efficiency for artists in the film, television, game development, design and manufacturing industries. Qube! version 5.2.1 contains the new Maya 2008 jobtype and is available to Qube! customers immediately via download at the PipelineFX ftp site.
