As more kids become interested in the process of animation, Emmy award-winning Toon Boom Animation Inc. has released a new, intuitive software application to help them get started. Flip Boom is a free-form animation tool designed to teach young animators the basics of timing and motion as they create their own cartoons with traditional animation principles.
‘Seeing the growing interest in animation coming from a younger age group, we decided to develop Flip Boom to cater to their creative needs,’ says Toon Boom president and CEO Joan Vogelesang. ‘Keeping in mind the entertaining value such a tool can bring, we hope Flip Boom will appeal to kids when it comes to creating animation.’
