One of the most identifiable tough guys to grace film and television screens is ready to ruffle feathers in Ultraduck, the new animated family feature based on the award-winning graphic novel written by Marvel artist Edgar Delgado. Ahead of their panel at San Diego Comic-Con, Arcana Studio announced that Danny Trejo (Machete) will appear in person to discuss the quacktacular project.
The panel Arcana Studio Presents: Ultraduck with Danny Trejo will be held on Thursday, July 24 from 3-4 p.m. in Room 32AB. The studio says attendees can “Expect action, surprises and exclusive sneak peeks” as a new hero takes flight! Plus, all seated attendees will receive an exclusive Ultraduck pin.

Synopsis: Carlos Bahia, a smooth-talking business duck, loves his drama-free life — until things spiral out of control. First, he fumbles asking out Lisa, the new HR rep. Then his bullied coworker, Horace, steals some alien-powered gauntlets, turning the office into chaos. When a cosmic entity ropes Carlos and Horace into saving the world, things only get weirder. Carlos ends up as the flashy hero Ultraduck, while Horace’s mishaps summon Omegallus, a city-destroying menace.
Between botched dates, workplace disasters and city-smashing battles, Carlos learns to stop being so full of himself, and Horace figures out that revenge isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. With some unlikely teamwork, they take down a power-hungry CEO, patch things up with their coworkers, and save the day — mostly without breaking anything else.
Trejo will voice Omegallus, the super-sized alter ego of the brilliant but frustrated scientist, Horace Roosen, who has been stepped on his whole life — and now, it’s Omegallus who will do some steppin’! His inferiority complex, combined with newly stolen superpowers, make him a threat to the law-abiding birds of Feather Bay.
The worldwide rights to Ultraduck were acquired earlier this year by Pink Parrot Media, ahead of the European Film Market. The film is currently in production and set to be delivered in Q4 2025.
