KiKA and Recircle Introduce Their New Animated Pre-K BFFs ‘Tree & Bee’

Leading German kids’ broadcaster KiKA and award-winning Croatian studio Recircle are launching their new preschool series Tree & Bee to the international market, through worldwide distribution partner Meta Media Entertainment. The colorful 2D-animated comedy shares the joy of curiosity with young viewers, as two best friends find the answers to life’s big (and small) questions in surprising and funny ways.

Tree & Bee is co-produced by HRT Croatia with KiKA Germany onboard as executive producer. The series has already been sold to YLE Finland, SVT Sweden, DR Denmark and ERR Estonia, with further sales in discussion. Thirteen episodes will be delivered later this month (November 2025) with a further 13 episodes to be delivered in April 2026.

Synopsis: A curious, daydreaming Bee and a cheerful and tenacious Tree are the best of friends. While thoughtful Bee poses the questions, courageous Tree does his utmost to help them find the answers. Tree and Bee have the absolute best time, all the time, investing equally in every endeavor — from breakfast to bed-time — with joyful sincerity. To Tree and Bee, ordinary activities take on action-movie-like levels of excitement, energy and intensity.

Zagreb-based Recircle is a 2D animation studio focusing on the development and production of positive content for children. Their previous series include Misho & Robin, Nutz and Who Who (formerly Little Who Who), for which they won Best Pitch at MIPJunior 2019. The head writer for Tree & Bee is award-winning British writer Davey Moore (Maddie & Triggs, Puffin Rock, Thomas & Friends, Tinpo).
