As it focuses on expanding its slate of original productions, Cookie Jar Ent. has brought on Susie Grondin as an in-house producer. Based in the company’s Toronto headquarters, Grondin will report to VP of production Pamela Slavin as she works on a number of series including Will & Dewitt, a new animated property aimed at empowering young children.
Grondin comes to Cookie Jar Ent. with more than nine years of experience working in the Canadian animation industry. She received an Emmy for her work as producer on the CG children’s series Rolie Polie Olie, and has contributed to a number of other well-known kids’ programs.
Cookie Jar Ent. is the global, independent producer, marketing and brand manager of such renowned children’s properties as Gerald McBoing Boing, Johnny Test, Arthur, Caillou and The Doodlebops. The company recently appointed Melissa Wolfe director of development. Working out of the Los Angeles office, she is responsible for selecting, developing and coordinating animated shorts for Nickelodeon Network’s shorts program, which can serve as a launch pad for new series.
