Decode Ent., a subsidiary of DHX Media, has promoted producer and senior executive Janice Walker to VP of Animation Production. Walker’s production credits at Decode include Planet Sketch, Dudson and the Aardman co-production Chop Socky Chooks. In her new positon, she will report to Beth Stevenson, exec VP of production and development, as she oversees production on all animated series.
Prior to joining Decode, Walker worked as production and studio manager for Berlin Film Company and Hahn Film, and at Canuck Creations where she oversaw 200 employees and 27 productions in her role as studio producer/manager.
In addition to Chop Socky Chooks, Decode’s animation production slate includes the teen-targeted spy series Delilah and Julius; Super Why, a co-venture with Out of the Blue Ent.; and Clang Invasion, a co-production with Singapore’s Scrawl Studios and Hong Kong’s Agogo.
