Academy Award Winner Michael L. Fink has been appointed president of visual effects worldwide for Frantic Films, a Division of Prime Focus Group. Working out of Frantic Films’ vfx facility in Hollywood, Calif., Fink will serve as senior
visual effects supervisor for projects awarded to the company, and
will be overseeing the integration of visual effects production for all of
the Prime Focus Group vfx facilities across North America, India and the U.K, including London-based effects facility Machine.
Fink was recently recognized with an Academy Award, a BAFTA award and a VES Awards nomination for his role as senior visual effects supervisor on New Line Cinema’s The Golden Compass. Prior credits include X2: X-Men United, X-Men and Braveheart. He also garnered a BAFTA nomination for the ’80s classic War Games, and was nominated for four Saturn Awards, a BAFTA and an Academy Award for 1993’s Batman Returns.
