Advertising and production veteran Howard Cohen has joined Brazil-based Animaking Production as an executive producer and representative.
Cohen will oversee national and international projects for the company, which claims to be the largest stop-motion company in Latin America. Founded 10 years ago, the company has produced more than 60 commercials, video clips and an award-winning short film. The studio is shooting in English its first feature film, titled Worms, due for release in late 2010.
Cohen comes to Animaking from Republika Films and Movie&Art, where he produced projects for Gillette, ING and Spice Islands. A native New Yorker and graduate of the School of Visual Arts, Cohen’s 35-year career includes stints at Saatchi and Saatchi NY, J Water Thompson, DMB&B and McCann Erickson.
