Tim Burtons Oscar-nominated whopper, Big Fish, arrives on home video today, frying up a smorgasbord of extra features and visual effects by MPC and SPI, under visual effects supervisor Kevin Scott Mack.
Big Fish tells the story of a young man who tries to get to know his dying father by separating the truth from the fantastic stories he was told as a child. The film stars Ewan McGregor, Albert Finney, Billy Crudup, Jessica Lange, Alison Lohman, Helena Bonham Carter, Robert Guillaume, Danny DeVito and Steve Buscemi.
DVD bonus materials include commentary by Burton and seven featurettes including a behind-the-scenes peek at the magic of creature shop Stan Winston Studio. Theres also a Tim Burton Trivia Quiz and a look at the process of adapting Daniel Wallace’s story for the big screen. The Columbia TriStar release lists for $28.95 on DVD.
