Wonderfun Unleashes Bop-a-Lots

Wonderfun, a producer and distributor of developmental entertainment properties for children, today announced the introduction of Bop-Along with the Bop-a-Lots, the first release in a series of DVDs developed for kids ages five and under. The release immerses viewers in a world of music, laughter and dance in a way that promotes cognitive productive thinking skills’the ability to look at a question, situation or challenge from many different perspectives and generate new ideas and new associations.

The computer-animated Bop-Along with the Bop-a-Lots stars three, fun-loving characters named Huggy-Bop, Sugar-Bop and Silly-Bop, who dance, play and lead viewers on a world-wide journey of discovery using world music versions of popular children’s classics ‘If You’re Happy and You Know It,’ ‘Old MacDonald,’ ‘Pop Goes the Weasel’ and ‘Rock-A-Bye Baby.’

Wonderfun was formed by Steve Fosatti, Philip Vaughn and Charlie Puzzo, who previously collaborated with the late, great Chuck Jones on the Timber Wolf series. They created and developed the Bop-a-Lots property with the cooperation of educators to nurture positive, cognitive development during the crucial first few years of a child’s life.

Bop-Along with the Bop-a-Lots is formatted to help develop cognitive thinking skills by introducing a traditional song favorite, then performing the same song four more times in varied styles. With each new rendition, the songs become progressively less obvious and familiar in orchestration, melody and instrumentation, illustrating that there are multiple and vastly different ways to look at or think about the same thing.
