Precocious little kids who get into big trouble abound on disc today as Paramount Home Entertainment throws out a one-two punch of the animated Comedy Central series South Park and Lil’ Bush. The popular South Park: Imaginationland three-episode story arch hits retail with an uncensored director’s cut, while Lil’ Bush makes its home video debut with episodes from the first season.
In the ratings smash Imagination Land episodes, the boys of South Park take a magical journey to a world that contains all human imagination. When terrorists hatch a plot to blow up a wall that separates the good imagination from the bad, the U.S. military resorts to mounting a nuclear attack on the enchanted realm. It’s up to Kyle, Kenny, Stan, Cartman and the rest of the gang to prevent the disaster and restore harmony between the two worlds. Extras include extended footage, storyboards and commentary.
Just in time for Thursday’s launch of season two, Lil’ Bush: Resident of the United States: Season One makes its way to store shelves. All of the initial installments are offered on a single disc that also features commentary by gonzo talk show host Jerry Springer, presidential candidate Ralph Nader and political pundit Tucker Carlson. Other extras include deleted scenes, a table read, a comical White House tour, interviews and a bonus, never-before-seen episode.
