It’s all about the animated classics in this week’s home video releases, with vintage superhero and Scooby-Doo releases leading the way.
Up first is Super Friends: The Lost Episodes (Warner Bros., $26.99), a two-disc set of 24 episodes from the classic DC Comics series. These episodes, produced in the early 1980s, were aired primarily overseas and later in syndication. This is the first time they’ve been made available on DVD.
Also out this week is The Batman Double Feature (Warner Bros., $14.97), which includes both The Batman/Superman Movie and The Batman vs. Dracula features on a single DVD. Each feature has a handful of bonus features.
And for the mystery solvers, it’s The Scooby-Doo Double Feature (Warner Bros., $14.97), putting on one disc the classic Scooby-Doo Meets Batman and Scooby-Doo Meets the Harlem Globetrotters episodes of the 1972 series The New Scooby-Doo Movies.
Also out this week is Hunter X Hunter Box Set Vol. 3 (VIZ, $49.95) and Donkey X (Phase 4, $19.99 DVD, $29.99 Blu-ray).
