New Video has acquired the United States television, digital, video-on-demand and home video distribution rights to the Oscar-nominated animated feature The Secret of Kells.
The acclaimed film will be released on DVD, Blu-ray, VOD and digital formats on Oct. 5.
New Video acquired the rights from GKIDS, which is the U.S. rights holder on the Irish-produced film.
Set in vibrant medieval Ireland, The Secret of Kells is a story about how imagination and faith carry humanity through dark times. Directed by Tomm Moore, The Secret of Kells features the voices of Brendan Gleeson (Harry Potter, In Bruges), Evan McGuire and Christen Mooney.
