It’s been 25 yeas since She-Ra joined the fight against evil, and now the Princess of Power is back with a DVD release set for her classic animated series and a new toy line on the way.
Classic Media will be bringing back the animated series, which began in 1985 and ran 93 episodes, in the DVD releases She-Ra: Vol. 1, Season 1 and the deluxe boxed set She-Ra: The Complete Series 25th Anniversary Edition. The deluxe boxed set will retail for $99.93 and includes collectible stickers, an iron-on and an episode guid.
Toymaker Mattel, which created the character, also will unveil new action figures throughout the year on its collector web site, www.mattycollector.com.
‘As the most powerful woman in the universe, She-Ra continues to add her strength to our collector portfolio,’ said Scott Neitlich, manager of action play marketing at Mattel. ‘Being able to give fans new collectibles and keeping our heroine relevant after 25 years through new adaptations is a true testament to the iconic stature of She-Ra.’
