Fans will have a chance to meet Genndy Tartakovsky, Eric Goldberg, Paul Germain and Spike Decker at an upcoming animation event to be held at the new Golden Apple/Rhino store in Westwood on Tuesday, June 24. The special panel and book signing event is in conjunction with the June publication of Allan Neuwirth’s Making’ Toons: Inside the Most Popular Animated TV Shows and Series (Allworth Press) and Jerry Beck’s Outlaw Animation: Cutting-Edge Cartoons from the Spike and Mike Festivals (Harry N. Abrams, Inc.).
In addition to author appearances and book presentations, the event will feature an industry panel titled “From Underground Rebels to Studio Stars.” Scheduled to participate are authors Neuwirth and Beck, Spike Decker, co-creator of Spike and Mike’s Sick and Twisted Festival of Animation; Pocahontas and Fantasia 2000 director Eric Goldberg, Dexter’s Lab and Samurai Jack creator Genndy Tartakovksy, and Recess and Lloyd in Space creator Paul Germain.
