Adult Swim’s Emmy-winning, animated sketch comedy show Robot Chicken will have a presence at this year’s Anime Expo. Taking place July 3-6 at the Los Angeles Convention Center, the annual confab will welcome members of the cast and crew of the hit show that uses stop-motion to give pop culture a late-night spanking.
Robot Chicken team members scheduled to appear include writer Cameron Baity; writer/voice actor/co-creative director Mike Fasolo; co-producer/director/editor Chris McKay; Puppet Fabricator Jeanette Moffat; and co-head writer/co-producer Tom Root. In addition, exclusive anime- and manga-related Robot Chicken skits will be played alongside other original Anime Expo programming during the I-Show at the convention and at official Anime Expo 2008 convention hotels on the official AX Dark Channels.
Organized by the Society for the Promotion of Japanese Animation (SPJA), Anime Expo is the nation’s largest anime/manga convention. This years main sponsors of Anime Expo are FUNimation, ImaginAsian Television and Digital Manga Publishing. For more information and to register online, go to www.anime-expo.org.
