Chinese animator Sun Xun has been named the artist in residence for this year’s Holland Animation Film Festival, set for Nov. 3-7 in the city of Utrecht.
Sun Xun will work on a large artwork that combines animation, video screenings, wall paintings and other objects, with the audience invited to follow and observe his progress during his residency. The artist will be working in a studio in the Centrum Beeldende Kunst Utrecht from Sept. 10 to Oct. 31.
The residency also will include lectures and a master class by Sun Xun, and an examination and screening of his new animated film 21G.
