Cartoon Network will add the anime series .hack//SIGN to its Saturday action/adventure lineup starting Saturday, Feb. 1 at 3 p.m. (ET, PT). Also known as dot hack, the series boasts some of the best talent in anime.
Set in the future, .hack//SIGN explores what happens when the reality and virtual reality collide. Each day, millions of players test their skills by jacking into immersive virtual gaming environment known as “The World.” But when the wall between that world and the real world begin to dissolve, a whole new adventure unfolds.
Directed by Kouichi Mashimo (Noir, Irresponsible Captain Taylor), .hack//SIGN features character designs by famed illustrator Yoshiyuki Sadamoto (Neon Genesis, Evangelion, Wings of the Honneamise) and writing by Kazunori Ito (Ghost in the Shell, Patlabor).
