Breakthrough Entertainment has secured a major broadcast deal with TV Globo to air the first and second seasons of the animated worldwide-hit series Atomic Betty in Brazil. Breakthrough secured the pact through their Latin American agent HOLA Entertainment.
‘We’re delighted to add TV Globo to the family of Atomic Betty broadcasters,’ says Tanya Kelen, head of distribution at Breakthrough Entertainment. ‘We look forward to cultivating (the new) relationship with HOLA Entertainment at our side.’
Atomic Betty has been licensed worldwide to major broadcasters in over 120 territories including Cartoon Network (USA, UK, Europe, Asia, Latin America), M6 and Teletoon (France), CiTV (UK), ABC Australia and in association with partner broadcaster TELETOON in Canada. The series also has an extensive off-screen licensing program supporting the series including Warner Home Video, Playmates Toys and Penguin Books.
The series was created by Atomic Cartoons and developed by Breakthrough Animation, and is produced as an official Canada-France co-production by Breakthrough Animation Inc. and Atomic Cartoons with Tele-Images Kids.
‘We are happy to have one more international success in our programming,’ said Roberto Buzzoni, director, general programming & acquisitions at TV Globo.
