Cookie Jar Ent. signed a multi-year Video-On-Demand (VOD) licensing deal with TVN Ent., one of the country’s largest television on-demand companies. TVN will distribute shows from Cookie Jar’s extensive children’s television catalog, which includes the animated series Spider Riders and Johnny Test.
‘Our new deal with TVN is reflective of Cookie Jar’s strategy to license and promote its content on all the new VOD platforms ranging from cable to IPTV and mobile,’ says Josette Bonte, VP of digital media for Cookie Jar Ent.
TVN will offer more than 52 episodes of such classic Cookie Jar shows as White Fang and The Busy World of Richard Scarry as part of its ‘Kids Unlimited’ VOD network, which TVN distributes to major cable operators and telco service operators in the US. The service is available to more than 5 million households.
