Maga Dives Into Acqua in Bocca

After winning the Cartoons on the Bay 2007 Pulcinella Award for Italian Studio of the Year, Maga Animation Studio has announced that it is completing a new CG-animated series titled Acqua in Bocca (Water & Bubbles). The company is producing 26 three-minute episodes of the HD show in co-production with RAI Fiction and plans to debut it at this year’s MIPCOM Jr. in Cannes, France.

Created by Guido Manuli and Elena Mora, Acqua in Bocca will be produced entirely in Italy. Manuli is also designing and directing the series, which will play almost like a live-action sitcom as it chronicles family adventures as seen through the eyes of two fish in an aquarium.

Maga Animation Studio was founded by Massimo Carrier Ragazzi an is based in Monza. The company’s other animated TV properties include the short-form series Go!Go! Pig!, Cosa C’entra?, I Cosi and The Magicubes. More information on the studio and its portfolio can be found at www.maga-animation.com.
