VGI Ent. has been appointed exclusive worldwide television distributor for the new motion-capture CG series Adventures on Orsum Island, and will be representing the property at MIPCOM Jr. in Cannes this month. The action-adventure show produced by Pineapple Squared consists of 26 half-hour installments aimed at kids 7-12.
The mo-cap CG animation in Adventures on Orsum Island is composited with real photographic backgrounds in a bid to achieve tactility and warmth. Produced entirely in HD, the show features a diverse cast of characters caught up in the battle for control of Orsum Island. As wise master Ming and evil mutation Zarkan duke it out, a new arrival named Kodi shows up with a special power that will decide the matter once and for all. In addition, Kodi must use his talents to get off the Island and find his way home. He is joined in his quest by new friends Divine Flower, Ming’s daughter, and comedic duo Monty and Fidget.
The first episode of Adventures on Orsum Island is due for delivery this month. VGI Entertainment will be showcasing the property at stand R28.13 at MIPCOM, taking place Oct. 8-12.
