Animation Collective has announced broadcast and home video sales for its animated kids’ series, Ellen’s Acres. The show currently airs on Cartoon Network in the U.K. and has been acquired by Cartoon Network Latin America, the Australian Broadcasting Corp. (broadcast and home video), Al Jazeera and TV Ontario. Picture Box Distribution handles sales for the series in Canada and Europe.
Created by Animation Collective CEO Larry Schwarz, Ellen’s Acres is a comedy show that encourages children to use their imagination. The series revolves around five-year-old Ellen, who is joined by her feather duster and her radial tire in imaginative adventures set in the hotel owned by her parents.
Animation Collective currently has original content on various platforms in more than 38 countries. The company’s proprietary productions include the hit Nicktoons Network original series Kappa Mikey; Three Delivery for Nicktoons, YTV and the BBC; and Thumb Wrestling Federation: TWF for Kids WB!, YTV and the BBC. The studio also provides service work for the new Speed Racer series for Nickelodeon and The Incredible Crash Dummies for 4KidsTV. Animation Collective is also the largest provider of original content for KOL, America Online’s kids channel and Red, its teen channel.
